I think I'll just put up the Christmas tree and call it a year.
Maybe summer is a bad idea anyway. Maybe taking a break from an insistent pre-schooler bellowing "Hnam, Hnam, Hnam.....Hnam!" ("Sam" with a speech variation) incessantly would be dangerous for my longevity.
If we go straight into winter '08/09, I'll never know how wonderful, warm, and refreshing the summer might have been. I'll begin to forget what it feels like to sit in an adorondak and watch the children eat sand. I'll forget the green of grass, the freedom of bare feet.
Cookie exchange, anyone?

You must be experiencing a little different weather than we are...10 degrees and sunny here. Ah, what a beautiful sping day! :)
no gloating allowed, Nancy.
:) in an effort to welcome spring to my land -- i openned all my windows today (without screens). i thought it was great but i decided to close them when i found shiloh hiding under a mountain of blankets. apparently, she found it a tad chilly.
was thinking about making a batch of cream cookies in shapes of christmas trees.
Are you sure you don't live in my neighbourhood? The description perfectly fits what I see from my window here in this part of the world:) ...
