I just can't stand it any more.
I cannot remain silent.
I cannot remain humble.
I simply must come out and admit who I really am.
(okay. Not really. But ever wonder who your alter ego might be? Maybe in your reality it is like my reality-- someone who has already accomplished something that are only dreams and wishes to you and me.....)
May our namesakes be our inspirations.......

Ha! I got to meet mine, who I met online. It's a story/she's a person who definitely ispires me. It's here: http://didrooglie.blogspot.com/2007/01/other-me.html
I just noticed that you commented on this nearly 3 year old post back when I wrote it! (D'oh!)
Ok Joyce, you got me. I was reading the review and thinking "WOW! I never knew you did this" totally believing you were doing this editing thing via cyberworld, and only got it that it wasn't you when it mentioned what her students say about her. STUDENTS? I knew you didn't manage that with your life of bag creating and loving other people's kids. There just aren't that many hours in the day. So there, I fully imagined you were capable and you can take that as a compliment! Besides, I like you better. I know you and you are closer than Alberta to visit. Carry on my amazing friend!
VB
that was fun, Andrea! Kind of gets the conspiracy theorist in us going, yes?
Oh, Bean who smells of Vanilla...
How high is this pedastal of which I must fall off.... to my sure death....
That is a massive compliment! (silly woman) This other Joyce has a lovely, impressive website; does she not? Maybe one day I'll be lucky as Andrea and meet my "self"!
Besides... I'm kind of insecure about when to use a semi-colon, and when to go with the full monty. My spelling is not as accurate as I'd prided myself in (spell check took some wind out of my sails...)
Being an editor? Not so much.
Wanting to meet an editor? Bring it on!!
thanks for coming through for me there, michele. I keep snortling and giggling......
Copy editor seems so boring compared to sculpter of tomorrow's minds by day and seamstress crusader by nights.
~blush~
OMG Joyce!!! Zach and I haven't checked in with your site in so long and tonight we do and what do we find???? ZACH's POCKETS!!! I knew them the minute I saw them...Zach read Fatima's posting and couldn't believe it either. The biggest smile crossed his face (after inquiring who Sam was) and then he threw his hands up in the air like he won a million bucks with the greatest smile and yelled "Mom, that is so SwEeEeEet". I only wish that I had checked in a few days and was the lucky bidder for "Fatima"...what a fantastic story that that would have been eh??? hope you are well! Thanks for all that you continue to do and all that you ocntinue to be.
Bev (and Zach)
That is way too cool, Bev. (and Zach). I noticed another pair of pockets downstairs, thanks to Zach. You guys should be getting another honourable mention soon!
Yes, all is well in bagland. I'm glad you stopped by! (and thanks again for the pants... Sam clearly loved them- and cried to see them turned into pockets, poor sod)
he he he..can I be really sneaky and get a heads up?? That would be too fabulous of a story to be able to give back to such a fabulous project AND to have a piece of Zach's world all rolled up into one!!!
Joyce, you have 3? 4? kids. You have a warm happy family around the table many times/week? You have accomplished something that is only dreams and wishes to me.
OK, are those Zach's pockets in my beautiful quilt bag?
Bev if you promise not to tell anyone.... I think that's a lovely idea. Here's the thing though- you'll have to re-send your e-mail address because there was a highly unfortunate incident on my laptop in which ALL MY DATA got lost.:( Every Darfur contact. Sad. In other news, how is Molly and her family and her brother(?) sister(?)
Janice- I will confess to having four children. The accomplishment comes thanks to a very fertile womb. Several conceptions occured while washing Brian's and my pants together in a load of "hot".
And yes, it is quite a gift. Just this morning I was thinking about the amazing fact that two of my offspring are TEENS! (so far, so good, thanks for asking....)
Sometimes they are warm and happy. Sometimes there are tears because sAm only likes to eat tuna or nutella. Sometimes those teens spend time sneering at their father. But yes. It is warm and happy none the less.
