The Blog Post of Random Questions

  1. Have you ever been in a church service (or any other type of conference) where you began to glance around nervously, half expecting the Jonestown Kool-Aid to begin making its rounds?
  2. Have you ever been told that peeing or poo-ing in your dreams will surely mean that you'll wake up kakked? Have you ever had the dreams and known firsthand that this is actually an urban myth?
  3. Ever bought a set of four phones and lost at least two, somewhere in your house?
  4. Bought stuff at the grocery or department store, and then walked away, leaving your newly purchased stuff behind?
  5. Offered to drive one of your kids' sport teams to an obscure town somewhere-or-other. The town that you swore you knew where it was. Only, you were wrong. And now you're around thirty kilometers east of the actual soccer field?
  6. Cut your own hair?
  7. Bought a beautiful old china teacup and saucer and then forgot to put it away before the house filled up with small, destructive children?
  8. Had a dream about driving where half the road keeps disappearing, and you can't see where you're going?

I'm not going to tell you whether I've ever been guilty of any of these unless you tell me first.

Number 1 -

Too many times for me to count. I've also been the one walking around serving trays of kool-aid. Looking back now, that feels even worse than being served it.

2,4,6 yes. You had the WHOLE team? I've only driven one or two astray. I have lost a lot of things in my house. Found a ringette stick in the couch once.

no, not the whole team. My kid, and two other players. They wre great- they giggled a lot at all the scenery we got to see....

I'm sort of relieved that I'm not the only one who has driven my children to Nunchuktinnuknuk.

And walk away from newly purchased stuff.

And not pooped the bed.

And said "No, thanks" to the Kool-Aid.

Yes partially to #3-and how about losing it outside and it rains (not once but twice)now we only have one phone! and many times to #6- no wonder the youngest has cut her hair 4 times too(with disasterous results)

hey, thanks Charlene.
I had my cell phone in the pocket of my shorts when I took the kids to the water slides. After taking a kid to the bathroom, there was a refreshing shower just outside the changeroom and I was super hot and sweaty. Yup, I showered. So did my phone. After three days in a ziploc baggie full of dry rice, it was good as new!

Weird that my kids haven't cut their own hair....
Wierder still that my eldest actually asked ME to trim her hair.
Never thought I'd see the day.

Glad you commented.
Nice to "meet" some visitors.
