It's all in the Semantics

"Hello, yeah, well I think we'll probably be sending (our son) to your daycare but I just want to let you know that we haven't made up our minds yet. I'm just waiting to hear back from another daycare to see if they have an opening."

Translation: "You SUCK but you may be our only option. If a half decent spot comes along, we'll grab it, but its looking pretty slim, so we'll probably have to resort to you."

It's more likely that she's intimidated by your obviously superior nurturing skills, infectious charisma and natural good looks.

Her child is probably attention-hungry and materially over-indulged.

The woman is clearly a fool who cannot spot class when it smacks her in the face or sticks to her shoe along with the remains of the latest art project which you and your charges have been working on.

You don't need her kind ( although I'm guessing her cheque might have come in handy).

PS. Say Hi to brian. i've been trying to leave a comment on his Dice post without success. xx

Hey at least they called. My friend had a dayhome and they would come for the interview, say they were bringing the kids the next day and then never show up and never even bothered to call. This happened more than once. Needless to say my friend doesn't have a day home anymore.

She was really depresed about it unitl another friend pointed out that if people were going to that rude and inconsiderate then she wouldn't want them as clients anyway because they were untrustworthy

That's just code for "We're the pickiest SOB's on the planet and won't commit to anyone aside from Mary Poppins".

;)

Cherry: Brian's site you have to right click the comment icon and then click on open. You should be able to leave a comment then. His site is slightly warped...kinda' like Brian?! ;)

What Shelley said. And if they do 'honour' you by 'choosing' you they will definitely squeeze every cent out of the deal in small-stuff-sweated so up your rate, woman!
