All That AND a Bag of Chips

Aren't we all getting just a little tired of enduring all this whining about getting old and fat? Yep, me too. There are enough dollars and brain cells being wasted already in our highly misguided society, so how about we start a new campaign? How about some new internal messages? Allow me to propose a few, then please indulge me with one or more of your own.

as has been mentioned; I AM all that, AND a bag of chips.

My gift of obsessive thinking is well suited to dwelling on a book I am reading.

Skinny alone never changed the world.

Interesting is way more interesting than skinny.

Your turn.

Amen! I am so tired of all women my age talking incessantly about weight loss and an unhealthy preoccupation with healthy eating. And I'm tired of hearing about it through the media too. I refuse to get on that bandwagon -- it is so boring. Thanks -- I thought maybe I was the only one who felt this way! Brenda

Ack, being young (read: kinda silly and not very wise) and skinny (read: zero boobs and bony hips) isn't all it's cut out to be anyway. :)
Everyone always wants what they don't have no matter what they DO have...why?

How about "Didn't my Skin Used to Fit"

Seriously though! I have often said this, skinny people are always crabby and bitchy because THEY ARE HUNGRY AND COLD!

Someone should feed the poor misguided souls!

Here is one for the models, "I am sexy WITHOUT being airbrushed"!

I'm good with how I look...except if my gut ever gets that big that it looks like a front bum...you know what I mean?...can't do that Lindalew : )

My favourite bumper sticker:
"I may be fat, but you're ugly and I could lose weight if I wanted to."

Brenda, I am truly honoured to have you comment. And point well taken. you are so right.

Leanne- this has also struck me as an irony- we want to be young and thin? go back to being less wise in what we now know, PLUS have the metabolism of an adolescent? Adolescence is hardly something I'd go back to for more.

Gloria, I thought about this sporadically throughout my day yesterday. Sexy is right! I think thin is something we do for other women, certainly not for the man in our life!

L: ok, even I'll admit that front bum is not very pretty. But even people with that are beautiful when they have spent their energy on character rather than fat counts.

Nance- THAT'll build community!!!!

You know I'm only kidding! It's just the fat part of me lashing out at all those super thin people who think they're better! :D

and a bag of chips, hahaha. Can't think of a slogan to add, will ponder.

(how about "50 is the new 40"?)

good to be back here with time to catch up and - as always - to laugh and think and cry.

Tears esp. about the fact that you are having another party i can't attend.

I have chub, and it's REAL. It hasn't been moved from my arse or transplanted from my thighs.
